Dinner is served

Had a delightfully romantic evening with my girlfriend (The first we've managed to have in ages, due to her hectic work schedule).

Decided to spoil her a bit with a nice backrub, a movie and of course, dinner!

Sauce base:
Olive oil ( 1 cup)
Feta cheese with olives in olive oil and herbs (1 jar)
2 tomatoes
3 cloves garlic
Half an onion, peeled
salt and pepper
Mixed herbs (about a teaspoon)

Additional:
6 eggs, hard boiled.
3 teaspoons of Bovril (marmite if you're in Australia)

Serves 3.

Dice the tomatoes, garlic and onion into teeny-tiny bits (You want the garlic and onions to partially dissolve in the sauce base during marination)

Slice the feta cheese and olives.

Throw everything into the olive oil with the feta cheese herb oil (Yes, the whole jar!)

Add salt, pepper and sprinkle the mixed herbs in. close container. Toss. Store in fridge for 12 hours.

At dinnertime, hardboil the eggs, cook the rice.

Pack rice tightly into a small bowl and invert over plate. Make sure it's nice and in the center.

Slice the egg white (remove yolk), lay out the slices and dribble a heaped teaspoon of bovril around the slices.

Place the sauce on top of the rice.

Viola! Dinner is served!
